We would like to tell you about a remarkable woman, whom we met in February this year when she was living in our Care Shelter for the Disabled.
The home care service of Caritas St. Petersburg invites on April 19, 2012, to the third seminar of the training course "Home Care for Stroke Patients."
On March 13–15, 2012, a seminar "Reasons for Bad Behavior in Children" was held in Mons. Hartmut Kania House.
17 March, 2012, marks the 11th Memorial Day since the death of the founder of Caritas St. Petersburg, Monsignor Hartmut Kania, who dedicated all his life to serving the church and people.
On 27-29 February 2012, the first seminar was held for the project managers. It was dedicated to the mission and spirituality of Caritas as an organization of the Catholic Church, which realizes its social service.
The seminar helped the project managers better understand the working principles and the specifics of the work in accordance with the identity and the mission of Caritas.
The second session is titled "Designing the patients' environment".
The young people with disabilities from the Bishop Malecki Support Center for the Mentally Disabled made with their own hands an original clock.
On 14th February, vulnerable mothers and their children from the project "Mother and Child" had a wonderful opportunity to visit "Skazkin Dom" ("Fairy House") free of charge and to participate in the interactive performance "The Snail and the Sun".
Ludmila Baskina has the 2nd (moderate) degree of disability and is being temporarily cared in the Caritas shelter "Under the wings of Doris". She has recently learned origami, the Japanese art of paper folding. Now she makes glad her neighbors in the nursing home with her fairy-tale beautiful handicrafts.
