Seminar: “Reasons for Bad Behavior in Children”

On March 13–15, 2012, a seminar "Reasons for Bad Behavior in Children" was held in Mons. Hartmut Kania House. The seminar was attended by Caritas staff providing assistance to children from socially vulnerable families.

The presenter of the seminar, Ms. Vera Zhuravlyova, is a highly-qualified psychologist with rich care experience for children with behavioral problems. In the course of 3 days, the participants were made familiar with new methods of psychological children’s care. The seminar exercises were designed such way that everyone had the opportunity to transform himself into a child while the others were trying to develop a common approach to this "child" and find the inner motivation for his bad behavior.

The friendly atmosphere allowed all participants to open themselves to the group and to share with colleagues the acute difficulties that are inevitable in our work. After the seminar, all participants expressed a desire to meet again as soon as possible in order to continue to learn new approaches and also have the opportunity to share the experience they will gain after the implementation of the new working methods.
