Let there be no sullen clouds in the sky and a terrible whistling of bullets in the air, let every day of life gives all of us true happiness, joy and warm smiles!

Easter week ended and we want to share how we celebrated Easter at ward № 20 in Botkin hospital. Small gifts were prepared and little Easter cakes were baked by staff and volunteers of the program to all our patients. We visited all the wards and congratulated everyone with Easter. Many people were pleasantly surprised and expressed their gratitude and joy! We congratulated and presented gifts ( this year these were Easter cupcakes) to the medical staff. A small concert was held after congratulations. We were visited by the singer Olga Bratchina, the parishioner of St. Theodore Cathedral, she sang her own songs. The atmosphere of the holiday in the hospital brought a healing joy and warmth! And when a prayer service conducted by father Kirill Kiselev was held the next day, 12 women were able to confess and take the sacrament, some of them for the first time. Seriously ill people who do not have the opportunity to participate in common prayer asked for the sacrament too.

The international conference dedicated to intercultural exchange and, in particular, to the work of foreign volunteers in projects of Caritas is running in Osnabruck, Germany at the moment. We, representatives of Caritas from St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Omsk, Novosibirsk, N. Tagil, are accompanied by representatives from Ghana, Uganda, Botswana, Peru, India and Germany. We talk about the difficulties encountered by young people who arrive to a foreign country, about how we can help them and what they can give us when they work for the welfare of the needy. The work is very intense, all the time we communicate, think, create.

Students of the University of culture will perform war years songs! We invite everyone to visit us and to share the joy of this Day!

We have good friends - the guys from Student Council of Saint-Petersburg State University of culture. On the eve of Victory day the guys came to our House and gave a wonderful concert, gave touching speeches and songs which they sang with such warmth. Our grandparents moved to the days when they were young and happy. Sometimes they sang with the guys. A huge thanks to everyone who participated in the concert. Thank you for your kindness, compassion and desire to brighten the lives of sick and abandoned elderly people!

Dear friends! Dear benefactors! Low bow to you and thank you for the glorious feast of Easter which you gave to our patients!
We had cakes and Easter eggs and, of course, prayer!
The guys from the children's Center of Caritas in the Luga city received sweets from grandma Doris, visitors of our soup kitchen - from the family Silesia, the guys from Bishop Maletsky support Center for young disabled persons - from JSC "Nevskaya sushka". Thank you, our dear and loyal friends!

The holiday is coming!
These days we recall again that the Lord came from his Father's wealth to needy and suffering people and became one of us. He needed love, care and custody of other people. All the hardships and tribulations of the earth fell to His lot. Therefore, the needs and the suffering of others are not alien to him. He suffered for us. Through his suffering he has redeemed all our sins and his resurrection gave hope for salvation to all of us.
Dear friends! We are grateful that the troubles and needs of our wards do not leave you indifferent. We thank you for service to a fellow man. You follow the example of God's son who came not to serve to himself, but to serve Himself. We ask God's blessing of your work and your health and pray for all those who you work for. We ask blessings for your families, parishes and all those who support your good work.
Christ is risen!
