08.06.2017 | The program “System of help for HIV-infected people in Saint-Petersburg”
It was another lovely day and we went to Oranienbaum with our ward Natasha. A special joy of that day was to see how increase physical opportunities of our ward Natasha. She can walk holding onto the wheelchair and to stand alone.

Hooray! We have a vacation! And we celebrated the first really warm summer day on the shore of the Gulf of Finland. That was the first visit to the gulf for some of our guys, although they have lived in St. Petersburg for many years.
We roasted sausages on the grill, fought off seagulls, played football, walked on water (some of the guys managed to get wet from head to toe...) and enjoy the beauty of the sea landscape! 120 sausages, 5 kg of tomatoes and 5 kg of cucumbers had been eaten for a day at the beach!

Dear friends, there are a lot of activities involving the wards of Caritas SPb at the city level and within programs this time of "white nights". We are waiting for Tsarskoselskiy Vernissage and the Imperial gardens, a picnic on the Gulf and a concert in the hospital, seminars and lectures and, of course, visits our friends and partners. Mrs. Sigrid from Caritas Austria (Linz) has visited us this week. She is responsible for projects that Caritas Linz supports abroad including our city. Thank you, Caritas Linz!

Galina Ilinichna is a nurse of the St. Petersburg branch of a regular prophylactic and medical attendance "Caritas SPb". She pulls people from the dead literally. She puts them on their feet after a hip fracture, another stroke, arrives at the other end of the city and shows how to care for the person until the last moments of his or her life.

A priest Mariano José Sedano Sierra cmf, our Father Mariano manages our work and guides us for more than 16 years! Dear Father Mariano, happy birthday! Our second master class in DD 4 in Pavlovsk was excellent!
During that lesson we were preparing for the Festival " WE PLAY ROCK TOGETHER", and were making branded signs, blanks for bracelets for future workshops and, of course, were teaching the children to glue, to punch, to stitch and to put pushpins! Nikita was in charge of the installation of fittings, Serge was a leather mosaic specialist, and Maria and Mariana managed the most active pupils. Then all looked for a lost punch, drank tea with volunteers and got home like kings on Mariana's car! Thanks to all the participants! It was great!

We gathered to celebrate our graduates Jasmine, Donya, Otabek and Dima in FEDERICO&CO store+coffee shop the 19th of May. To be together, to sing to the guitar, to eat pizza, to draw a general picture, to play, to take pictures...
We had fun! That evening was similar to our year in the " Little Island": sometimes it was noisy, unpredictable, delicious, bright, active, diverse (one is having fun at the moment, the other is bored, and the third is sad) and overall, warm, friendly and unforgettable!

Our friends and partners from Caritas Bad Gögging (Germany) visited us last week. We have been friends for 15 years already!
Our teacher Nina did quilling workshop for our guests. Here you can see results of this work. "The masterpiece" of joint creative work was sent to Germany to adorn someone's interior.
We send crafts made by the hands of our children to Bad Gögging every year. Partners from German Caritas sell them at auctions, Christmas markets in the Catholic and Lutheran parishes, and we pay these proceeds to our children's Center chef for his work! Thank you, dear friends and partners!
