30.10.2017 | The Bishop Maletsky center of support for young disabled persons
The guys of our Center took part in the first out lesson in this academic year. The theme of the lesson was 'Urban Transport and How to Get to our Center Using the Metro'. The lesson took place at the bookstore 'Bookvoed'. Our guys shared their experience of traveling on the metro enthusiastically and discussed the most beautiful metro station.
Also they learned a lot of interesting things from the history of Saint Petersburg metro.
17.10.2017 | The patronage service ‘Caritas SPb’
Two-days seminar 'Basics of the care of bedridden patients' was organized the 10th and the 17th of October.
The first day of the seminar was devoted to knowledge of modern technical means of rehabilitation and facilities of a patient.

The first trip to Gatchina after the holidays turned out to be sunny, warm and very soulful.
And even though our ward Natasha is not able to walk without a wheelchair yet, the degree of freedom in movement is significantly increased. In addition our staff and volunteers try to raise Natasha's socialization. Recently she (for the first time in a few years) with their help visited the store where made the purchase and the multifunctional center where she had the necessary documents.

The patronage service 'Caritas St. Petersburg' invites you to the next lesson of the training course in the field of home care for immobile patients that will be held the 24th of October, 2017 at 10.30 at the address: 18 Ryabinovaya st. The topic: "Kinesthetic in patient care". The kinesthetic is the science of motion perception that explores:
- the development of conscious perception of self motion
- the ability to apply proper motion in everyday life
- the ability to move in interaction with other people.

The beneficiaries of our dining room had a small party arranged by 'Fund of food "Rus"' . All our wards received a kilogram of mayonnaise Heinz! Now, every family that has dinner in the dining room has a six-month supply of mayonnaise at home.

The Director of Caritas together with the guests from America, Spain and Germany visited our center last week.
The teacher on needlework Nina and children conducted a master class in quilling for guests. The result of the "international panel" surprised all participants of the master class!
20.09.2017 | The patronage service “Caritas SPb”
The second lesson of the seminar 'Basics of the care of bedridden patients' was the 19th of September. The theme of that lesson was 'Techniques of the care of bedridden patients with the use of a kinesthetic method'.
The kinesthetic is the science of motion perception that is engaged in:
• development of conscious perception of self motion
• ability to apply proper motion in everyday life
• ability to move in interaction with other people.
The training was aimed to improve motor competence and to maintain the health of a patient and a caregiver through their interaction during the care. Participants of the seminar gained practical skills for transplanting a patient from bed to chair and to wheelchair, changing body position in bed, studied to assist when standing up, looked for new ways to make movements that help to overcome back pain.
