The Handicraft Workshop of Maletsky House under the leadership of Mariya Pagolskaya will organize a master class on making leather bracelets. The life in our Center is full of events. We've started this year with a meeting with Daria Nabokova, an actress of The Puppet Theater. She taught us how to use our fingers to make dinosaurs, knights, a sailboat, and a huge pig that tries to eat an old lady. It was very exciting and fun: dogs were barking, cocks were crowing, giraffes were walking. And a chair had been moved in all possible directions and planes around the room for half an hour!
We've continued our studies with Daren this year. We've taken a break in jewelry art, and we learn the weaving skills now. The guys chose the format of a forthcoming book, stitched notebook, developed the cover design. Azis has already made his own book. Other authors' unique volumes will be released soon.
And we began art therapy lessons with soothing music, because we are active and restless and we need a break from our energy... And on Mondays, music classes continue.

In early January, the staff and volunteers of the project organized a Christmas celebration in the department of the S. P. Botkin hospital.  As always, the celebration was preceded by extensive preparation. Greeting cards had been prepared and holiday packages had been decorated. Our friends, parishioners of St. Theodore Cathedral and a Lutheran pastor Elena Kurmishova came to conduct the holiday.
That time we didn't arrange a big concert in the hallway of the department, because there were a lot of bedridden patients, but there were a lot of mini-concerts almost in every room.
And the hospital staff was pleased with our congratulations.

A meeting for parents caring for children with severe forms of cerebral palsy at home was held in the Health Center "Cariras SPb" the 13th of January. Not everyone could come to the meeting because there was no one they could leave their children with. But those who had come enjoyed their time exchanging news of their lives, information and new experience. This group of parents has been meeting here for many years. They call each other by phone, support each other in difficult times. They always have something to talk about.

Lectures on the problems of addictive behavior are read every Monday at 19:00
The 5th of February – Addiction: definition, types, views on the cause of it. What is addiction and how to understand if there is a risk of its formation? What are dependencies? What leads to addiction? We will discuss a lot of issues.
The 12th of February  – The formation process of chemical dependency on the example of alcoholism. Necessary conditions for recovery. We will talk about how alcohol is formed, how to distinguish an alcoholic from a moderate drinker, can an alcoholic control his or her drinking and drink "like everyone, without problems" or not.
The 19th of February  – Codependency 1. The life of those who are close to addicted.

A meeting for persons caring for their relatives at home was held in the Health Center "Caritas SPb" 16 January 2018. The meeting was attended by 6 people, although it is not so easy to leave a ward alone at home. Often it is necessary to ask someone to be with a ward for some time or take time off from work to participate in a meeting. So we try to write in advance when there will be a meeting of the groups. Usually the information posted on the website, on the stand, and a nurse calls personally to those who are interested. And everyone can call us by phone and  receive a necessary information.

 Christmas and New year holidays came to the end. We continue our work and we invite everyone to the next meeting for relatives caring for patients at home. This meeting will be held the 16th of January, 2018 at 10.30 at the address: 18 Ryabinovaya street.

At this meeting, you can learn simple and essential care techniques that ease the burden on a caregiver, to share experiences and information, to get a moral and spiritual support.

Topics of the meeting:
1. "Hypertension. Prevention of complications".
2. "Thrombosis. Prevention and care".

The aim of the lesson:
To get a basic knowledge about specifics of the disease, prevention and characteristics of nursing

A real Christmas miracle occured in our Center!!! We received 15 boxes with colored paper, crayons, markers, paints and paintbrushes for our art!!! Thanks to Mihail and Svetlana Morozov, private entrepreneurs, for emotions of happiness!

The Inclusive revolution occured in our Center the 24th of December!
For the first time, we celebrated New year in the style of the "Suprematist blue light". Kazimir Malevich and others pale in comparison!
Gorgeous decorations made by hands of the children, a warm and cheerful atmosphere in the family circle, quizes, songs, dances and a real demonstration with slogans that each of our guys came up: "For clean streets!", "Give up your seat on public transport!", "Hands off the tram tracks!", "For peace!", "For increase of pension"!
And there was Father Frost with the Snow Maiden, gifts, miracles, disco, tea and fair-sale where we earned 15 000!
And our parents were able to communicate in their own circle while we were having fun!
