05.12.2016 | The Bishop Maletsky center of support for young disabled persons
The 3rd of December was an international day of persons with disabilities, and employees of The Bishop Maletsky center of support for young disabled persons, Olga Maksimenko and Anna Fedorova, visited a social hotel of the Kalininskiy district where children from 15 to 18 years temporarily live .
Our girls said about our Home Maletsky, rehabilitation Centres for the disabled in our city , showed a cartoon made by our guys !
It was obvious that the guys interested and they actively asked questions.
The meeting went in a very warm atmosphere, support Center invited the guys for a master class!

The fair "More stuff" took place in the Sports and Concert Complex (SCC) last weekend and we took part in it for the first time! On our fair table there were lovely brooches , plates , handmade soap , wonderful bags, key holders , bracelets, and all these things had cooked and created by children in the classroom at the art Studio and workshop manual creativity of our Center!
Yesterday, at the end of the fair the boys got a real "salary" as our products demanded from buyers!
And today Amino has already boasted a clock that he have bought!

International day of charity in Russia.
Today, the 29th of November, for the first time "Generous Tuesday" will be take place. This initiative was born in 2012 and has already received distribution in 71 countries of the world. The Fund of support and development of philanthropy "CAF" is the coordinator of this initiative in Russia.
Various charity events (workshops, tours, gathering warm clothes and food, a donation campaign) in support of poor people, large families, the elderly, the disabled, orphans, shelters for homeless animals will host in dozens of cities across the country.
Partners of the action are non-profit organizations, socially responsible business, initiative groups and individuals.

We were lucky yesterday! We could see the show Brit Floyd (UK) in The Ice Palace!
Many thanks to general director of The Ice Palace of Saint-Petersburg, Sergey Mikhailovich Izotov, for giving us the opportunity to visit this great show and to touch the "roots of Rock".
22.11.2016 | The children’s center “Little Island”
Yesterday we had a guest from France - lady Martine Nisse and our colleagues from the organization "Bice" (International Catholic Child Bureau), Diana Filatova and Anna Herceg.
Martine told us about her work. She helps children who have experienced domestic violence and helps their families. The guys asked what she dreamed of in childhood. Martine dreamt to be an archaeologist to find the treasures of Pharaoh in Egypt. In the end, says Martin, she became a family archaeologist, and helps kids living in sadness to find the treasure inside their hearts and begin to live differently.
The 20th of November is celebrated world children's day.

Dear friends!
The 11th of November 2016 Verena Smackit, a longtime and great friend of Caritas Saint-Petersburg, died.
Verena and her husband Peter were teachers, they devoted their entire lives to children, working in the Children's village Klinge in Germany.
They acquainted with the work of Caritas SPb and for 20 years have supported our "children's" programs."
We ask you to pray.
17.11.2016 | The Day Of St. Elizabeth Thuringian (Hungarian)
Today we celebrated "professional holiday". We started it with a solemn mass in our House, where old people’s Home called after St. Elizabeth Thuringia and other charity projects of Caritas Saint-Petersburg are located. Of course, we had tea, informal communication and... again for the work!
Thanks to father Rafal, sister Andriane, sister Jana and to all our employees and volunteers, thanks to them, it was a successful little family holiday!
Once again, with the holiday! And thank you for your work and ministry!

Dear friends, members and volunteers of Caritas in St. Petersburg!
Tomorrow, our Church celebrates the day of St. Elisabeth (Thuringian), which we consider to be the patron of works of charity and Caritas throughout the world. Unfortunately, I can't be with you and share the joy and celebration of this day, so I write this little letter for you from Murmansk, where I am temporarily located.
I want to thank God for all the people who, during these years of our existence, made a great contribution of warmth, tenderness, togetherness, comfort, and joy in the work of Caritas Saint-Petersburg. Especially, our employees, sisters and volunteers. And, of course, I thank and pray for those who are close to us with their solidarity, material support and prayer. Without them our activities would be less expressive and effective.

As in any big family, in our Home every person has his or her responsibilities. Someone is sleeping, someone is helping in the kitchen, someone is folding the linen and someone is watching TV! What a harmonious family we have!

WHEN YOU GIVE, YOU FIND!
The 8th of November, FAIR DONATION took place in resource center for women and families with children in difficult life situation, despite the difficult weather conditions. Many things found their new owners and got a new life. We are grateful to all the participants of this process – and to those who provided us with a variety of things to transfer them to the gift, and those who was not afraid to come on snowy roads to get things as a gift.
