In many cases, it can be influenced so that the patient living with this disease, can feel relatively normal. The care of the sick and the use of modern assistive devices for care contribute to it.

The 7^th of November (Monday) - "A Child becomes a teenager: how to accept and understand the changes and where to look for the point of contact".
At this meeting we will talk about the characteristics of adolescence, challenges facing a teenager and characteristics of contact with him.

This meeting will be conducted by Elena Selezneva, psychologist, employee of the "Island".

The meetings will be held once a month on Mondays from 19:00 to 20:45 in social teen club "Island":

Last week our old friend Diana visited us. She teached Vadim, Arslan and Shukur to play the guitar and the children quickly mastered the basic chords. And, during an evening tea Diana organized the awarding ceremony! We chose the gains to be proud of, talked about them and received well-deserved awards. It was fun and interesting. The life in our house is in full swing! Of course, we «create» not only for donators but also for parents, we celebrate birthdays together and learn to cook. So, last week we learned how to bake pancakes with cottage cheese! Delicious!

The staff , the volunteers of the program and our ward Natasha spent a lovely day in Pushkin. A wonderful autumn nature, the beauty of the Palace complex, the opportunity for Natasha to see and learn new things, to leave her room, where she spends a regular time of the life, and also a good chance for the volunteers to acquire the skills of handling a sidecar – it was the day filled with lush colors of autumn and warm fellowship!

Dear Friends! Today, in the morning, the President of the "Caritas of the Archdiocese of the Mother of God in Moscow" Archbishop Paolo Pezzi has visited our charity program "Caritas Saint-Petersburg".
The Archbishop has visited the program "The support to HIV-infected people " in 20th ward of the hospital S. P.Botkin, has blessed the staff and volunteers of the program. Then we have visited the partners of this project - the Abbot Alexander Sorokin and the priests of the parish of the Theodorov icon of the Mother of God and have discussed a lot of questions and prospects of development of this project.

We also have visited our Home Bishop Maletsky, where children have red the poems and have showed their creative works.
In the office we have talked in detail about Caritas Saint-Petersburg, our problems and their solutions, and, of course, about our successes!
Many thanks to the program managers for the organization of the visit of the Archbishop and the presentation of the programs.
