24.04.2019 | Accompanying HIV-infected “The Way to Hope”
On the eve of Easter, we invited a teacher Maria Pagolskaya from the project " Bishop Maletsky Centre of support for young disabled people" to hold a master class on the creation of Easter gifts, festive wreaths, for women of the support group. Everyone was so carried away by the spirit of creativity and joy that it was difficult to complete our friendly communication!
Gifts for doctors and nurses of the Department are ready!

The project "Accompanying Caregivers" with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund organizes a round table "Actual issues of providing medical and social care to patients at the post-hospital stage", which will be held on April 25, 2019 at 10.30 (87 Ligovsky Prospect).
The round table is devoted to topical issues of providing medical and social assistance to citizens of the older generation of St. Petersburg, as well as issues of interdepartmental cooperation and cooperation of healthcare and social institutions. Representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations working in the field of social protection and public health will take part in the round table.

April 12, 2019, our spiritual mentor, Fr. Mariano H. Sedano Sierra conducted spiritual exercises for the staff and volunteers of Caritas St. Petersburg.
The first half of the day was devoted to the encyclical of Pope Francis "Christus vivit". We talked about the challenges of our time, our reaction, as employees of Caritas to these challenges, about youth, openness and dignity of each person. After the break, we talked about the Passion of the Lord, read the Gospel and pondered. And there was also the birthday of our Mariana - a volunteer Caritas SPb, and that day she was with us.
Thanks Fr. Mariano, the staff and everyone who was with us!
28.03.2019 | Support of persons caring for patients at home and hospitals
The training on the course "Fundamentals of care for bedridden patients" was organized and conducted within the framework of cooperation with "Caritas Social School" on the basis of Caritas Patronage service. This course is designed for people associated with the care of bedridden patients (care professionals, social workers, relatives). The training was aimed at improving skills, knowledge and practical skills in the field of nursing at home. Upon completion of the training, participants received the relevant documents of the standard form (certificates of professional development and certificates).

Dear friends! For more than 5 years, our Information and Advisory centre on violence and addictive behaviour has been supporting adults who come into contact with violence or those who live in situations of violence. We have gained experience in helping people who had been victims/witnesses of violence and this year we are launching a new project "Building professional competencies among professionals accompanying children affected by sexual violence". This project will be implemented in close cooperation with the Service of interagency cooperation - a social shelter for children "Transit".
Project objective: to train specialists to accompany children in the investigation of crimes of sexual violence. The project involves: specialists - educational psychologists,psychologists, investigators working with child victims/witnesses of sexual violence.
We plan to achieve the following results: an increase in the number of professionally trained specialists who provide assistance to children victims/witnesses of sexual violence during the investigation; strengthening the professional position of a psychologist, psychologist-teacher involved in the investigation, thanks to the knowledge and skills; an increase in the number of professionally trained psychologists at the city level who are ready to provide qualified assistance to children affected by sexual violence, not only during the investigation, but also in the long term; strengthening of interdepartmental interaction of employees and institutions for minors.
The multiplier effect is provided by specialists who have been trained (psychologists-teachers, psychologists, investigators), advising specialists who did not participate in the project, on-line.

Nursing at home always requires an individual approach.
