The Bishop Malecki Support Center for Young People with Disabilities participated in the competition “Eagle, calf and lion”, which was held by the Religion History Museum of St. Petersburg

"Птица Сирин"In 2011-2012, the Religion History Museum is holding a contest "Eagle, calf and lion", dedicated to images of animals in religious beliefs, mythology and folklore of various cultures. The competition’s purpose is to develop a culture of conscious tolerance towards people of different ethnic and religious affiliation, as well as towards people with physical and mental disabilities. 

Attendees at theBishopMaleckiCenterdid not want to stand aside and decided to participate in this contest.

January 12, 2012, was an important day for all! Finally, the work was completed and sent to the competition committee. That was a beautiful handiwork that has taken a long hard work – "Sirin Bird", a mythological creature of Russian legends.

The work has demanded many months!

The head of the art studio, Egle Shezhinite, and all the guys put a lot of imagination, creativity, attention and energy into their work and were finally satisfied with their "Sirin Bird".

The summing up and the Competition’s awards ceremony will take place in March 2012. Later, the All-Russia exhibition of children's artwork "Eagle, calf and lion" will be opened. The exhibition will run for a month.
