On January 17, the Home Care Service of Caritas St.Petersburg held a seminar on kinesthetics in home care in its facility in 18, Ryabinovaya Ulitsa. The seminar was attended by 8 nurses of the Geriatric Center of the City Clinic No112 in the Kalinin district.
The seminar was held by a nurse of our project - Galina Ilyinichna Fomina. She is a specialist in home care for the sick and has international certificates of achievement in this area.
The seminar moderator has not only raised the level of professional competence of the Geriatric Center nurses, but also:
- acquainted the nurses with new ways to perform movements in order to cope with the back pains caused by working conditions and an overuse of muscles.
- explained how to maintain the health of the patient and the caring person through their interactions during care on the basis of kinesthetics.
- gave valuable advices on how any person in old age can maintain their mobility and self-reliance.
